Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide rich, engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for ELL students in a virtual environment.
  • •Differentiate instruction based on student mastery and adapt course content according to prescribed policies.
  • •Maintain grade books, support student placement and promotion decisions, and alert administrators to student performance concerns.
  • •Establish and maintain positive rapport with families and regularly communicate and respond to students and learning coaches/parents.
  • •Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests and provide support for curricular issues and basic virtual classroom troubleshooting.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 50,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Virginia English Language Learner Teaching Certification and an active state teaching license are required.
  • •Ability to clear required background check.
  • •Bachelor’s degree.
  • •Ability to collaborate with other teachers to interpret student data and drive instructional decisions.
  • •Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint, with ability to rapidly learn new teaching technologies and platforms.
