Job Summary

Senior Data Scientist on Cyera’s Research team to develop and productionize ML/AI models for data security classifications and insights. Lead end-to-end research from problem framing to deployment and monitoring, partnering with Product and Engineering to turn open-ended data-security challenges into measurable experiments and shipped features that help customers discover, protect, and govern their data at scale.

Key Responsibilities

•Own end-to-end research lifecycle from problem framing, feature engineering, model development to deployment and outcome analysis.
•Lead foundations of Cyera’s data science workflows and algorithms, handling large volumes of user data to generate actionable insights.
•Develop, evaluate, and maintain ML and NLP solutions to enhance sensitive data classification capabilities.
•Implement ML models across clustering, text extraction, document analysis, and tabular data classification.
•Collaborate closely with engineers, data analysts, and security researchers to deliver shipped features.

Key Requirements

•BSc in computer science, math, physics, or a related field
•5+ years of experience as a data scientist
•Experience with data pipelines / big-data analytics - Must
•Solid grounding in core machine learning concepts and techniques (classic ML, neural networks, optimization, evaluation)
•Demonstrated expertise in applying LLMs - prompt engineering and tuning, retrieval-augmented generation, production deployment with safety, latency, and cost controls
