Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain all mill machinery including pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers & chains, bearings, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • •Perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance by inspecting equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions.
  • •Troubleshoot mechanical issues to boost equipment reliability and implement safe, reliable fixes that maximize uptime.
  • •Identify and request relevant parts needed to complete repairs in a timely manner.
  • •Assist in creating and maintaining a safe work environment.

Key Requirements

  • •Superior troubleshooting skills for complex mechanical issues.
  • •Basic electrical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair machinery components.
  • •Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems on heavy manufacturing machinery.
  • •Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to schedule and document maintenance activities.
  • •Experience working in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment (lumber manufacturing knowledge is an asset).
