Job Summary

Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams for large-scale railway infrastructure and superstructure projects. Develop and supervise execution plans to meet client objectives, make technical decisions, review deliverables and cost estimates, drive value engineering and quality control, manage budgets, communicate with clients, and mentor junior engineers in a hybrid work setting across Madrid.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead design teams for railway infrastructure projects and ensure effective resource integration across offices.
•Develop and supervise project execution plans aligned with client objectives and project requirements, ensuring efficient and high-quality delivery.
•Provide specialized technical leadership in railway infrastructure to guide daily design decisions.
•Review and approve design calculations, technical reports, drawings, specifications and cost estimates for compliance with local, international standards and client specs.
•Conduct value engineering evaluations to optimize designs, materials and construction methods while maintaining rigorous quality control and interdisciplinary reviews.
•Mentor and develop junior engineers, contributing to team growth and performance.

Key Requirements

•Civil/Geotechnical and rail infrastructure engineering background with a degree in Civil Engineering (Camino/Canales y Puertos).
•20+ years of experience in railway projects, with leadership of construction projects and exposure to public sector clients.
•Strong experience in linear infrastructure (railways), bridges/structures, tunnels, hydros/ drainage.
•Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation) and design/modeling tools (Bentley OpenRoads/OpenRail, PowerRail Track, Civil3D) and MS Office.
•Familiarity with national/international codes (ADIF regulations, Eurocodes, AASHTO, AREMA, British Standards) and Spanish language communication skills.
