Key Responsibilities

  • •Formulate and drive a proactive local plant safety strategy, leading safety continuous improvement efforts as part of the Plant Management Team.
  • •Direct safety programs site-wide, recommend and implement initiatives to minimize losses due to accidents, and measure program effectiveness.
  • •Ensure OSHA and ergonomic compliance through inspections, maintaining OSHA files and supporting OSHA inspectors during plant inspections.
  • •Communicate safety policy and procedure changes, conduct safety inspections and procedural audits, and take corrective action as needed.
  • •Investigate safety-related incidents, review incident reports, and complete required reports for insurance carriers, risk management systems, and the corporate safety office.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management engineering, industrial technology, or a related field (or an equivalent education/experience combination).
  • •3+ years of progressive experience in environmental safety and sustainability management (preferred).
  • •Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard communications, accident investigation, and safety training methods.
  • •Knowledge of industry best practices for safety and environmental approaches, including PSM and RMP safety practices.
  • •Strong written and verbal communication skills to present information to managers and other stakeholders.
