Job Summary

Lead cost estimation and cost control activities for Real Estate and Property projects, from feasibility through tendering. Own cost strategies, budget management, and expenditure monitoring, producing accurate estimate, cost, procurement, and tender reports for clients and senior management. Analyze variances and forecast costs to support commercial decision-making, perform contract cost analysis, and lead/mentor the cost management team while maintaining rigorous documentation and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and manage detailed cost estimates from feasibility through tendering in line with standards and client requirements.
•Prepare estimate, cost, procurement, and tender reports for clients and senior management using project commercial controls.
•Oversee cost control processes and implement strategies to optimise profitability and minimise budget overruns.
•Monitor expenditures vs approved budgets, manage interim payment processing, and ensure timely, accurate cost reporting with data integrity.
•Lead and mentor the cost management team, and conduct contract cost analysis and review contractual terms for cost implications and savings potential.

Key Requirements

•Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
•Minimum 10 years’ professional experience in cost estimation, cost control, or project cost management.
•Professional accreditation such as MRICS, AIQS, or equivalent.
•Expertise in cost analysis, budget forecasting, variance analysis, and financial interpretation.
•Strong leadership and team management capabilities with advanced analytical/problem-solving skills.
