Define and lead the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the American Express Model Context Protocol (MCP) platform, enabling LLMs, AI agents, and external AI ecosystems to securely access company capabilities. Own core MCP standards and operating models, build an enterprise center of excellence, and set best practices for authentication, authorization, documentation, evaluation, observability, and responsible AI governance across multiple cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the MCP platform.
•Establish platform standards, governance models, and operating principles for MCP adoption across the enterprise.
•Serve as the company-wide expert on MCP architecture, implementation patterns, and agent integration best practices.
•Build the MCP center of excellence, including reusable frameworks, documentation standards, and developer/integration experience.
•Define evaluation, analytics, and observability frameworks and drive continuous improvement via experimentation and measurement.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 144,250 - 256,250 annually

Key Requirements

•8+ years of product management experience leading platform, API, developer platform, or infrastructure products.
•Proven experience defining product strategy and delivering large-scale platform capabilities across multiple stakeholder groups.
•Experience building developer-facing products, APIs, SDKs, or ecosystem platforms.
•Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, identity, OAuth, consent management, platform security, and data governance concepts.
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
