Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform operations and maintenance on plant electrical systems including generators, transformers, switchgear, motor control centers, VFDs, UPS units, and emergency/black-start equipment.
  • •Execute switching and isolation, including LOTO and racking of breakers, and restore medium-voltage equipment in accordance with plant procedures and NFPA 70E.
  • •Troubleshoot electrical faults across power distribution, protection, grounding, lighting, and auxiliary systems using diagrams and electrical test equipment.
  • •Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to improve reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • •Support plant startups, shutdowns, outages, and commissioning while maintaining accurate work orders, switching records, and as-found/as-left documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • •3+ years of experience as an electrical technician or industrial electrician maintaining industrial or power generation electrical systems.
  • •Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, and equipment O&M manuals.
  • •Experience with LOTO, switching procedures, and NFPA 70E / arc-flash safety practices.
  • •Journeyman electrician license or equivalent formal electrical training.
