Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead implementation and management of risk and compliance, including impact analysis of regulatory changes and coordination/execution of related workstreams for GIFT FME.
  • •Partner with the business team and interface with risk and general compliance to drive policies relevant to asset management.
  • •Monitor and track compliance workstreams and provide policy/regulatory advice to address business risks; develop frameworks for proactive regulatory change communication.
  • •Oversee compliance controls including market abuse controls, investment restrictions, and marketing material reviews (including website content and investor communication), and ensure timely Group and regulatory submissions.
  • •Act as Compliance Officer/Principal Officer under PMLA by identifying/containing compliance risks, managing sanctions/AML alert escalation, reporting/certification, and liaising with regulators and industry bodies on audits/inspections.

Key Requirements

  • •Professional qualification or post-graduate degree/diploma (at least one year) in finance, law, accountancy, business management, commerce, economics, capital market, banking, insurance, actuarial science, or CFA/FRM.
  • •At least ~15 years of experience in asset management compliance, with strong understanding of India and GIFT City risk and regulatory frameworks (including SEBI and IFSCA).
  • •At least five (5) years in related activities in the securities market or financial products in an eligible institution (with eligibility criteria for professional qualifications and IFSC experience).
  • •Experience working in regulated IFSC/India (or foreign jurisdiction) institutions such as market infrastructure institutions, capital market intermediaries, regulators, FMEs, banks, finance companies, and insurance entities.
  • •Ability to complete IFSCA-specified certification courses, including the NISM-IFSCA-01 AML/CTF certification course for the Principal Officer role.
