Develop strategic buying plans for the decor/home furnishing category, ensuring smooth buying operations through vendor identification, evaluation, and selection. Manage vendor relationships and negotiate deals, place and manage orders, monitor product movement, and support repeat ordering or delisting decisions.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop strategic buying plans for the assigned department/category and ensure buying operations run smoothly through vendor identification, evaluation, and selection.
•Perform vendor and product research, trend analysis, and market & competition studies to keep processes aligned and recommend new product ranges.
•Gather information from industry trade groups, trade shows, or market visits.
•Manage vendors: build and maintain relationships, negotiate best deals, maintain vendor lists, attend demonstrations, and evaluate vendor capabilities.
•Handle order management: place new item orders, initiate repeat orders based on the buying plan and service levels, and monitor sales/movements to support re-orders or delisting.

Key Requirements

•NIFT or Pearl Graduate qualification.
•3-4 years of product development and retail sourcing experience for home furnishing/decor products.
•Ability to develop strategic buying plans for assigned departments/categories.
•Experience with vendor research, evaluation, and vendor mix selection.
•Competence in order management and monitoring sales/product movement to support re-orders or delisting decisions.
