Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and timely over required routes while obeying traffic laws and observing safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading goods and materials using specialized equipment when warranted.
  • •Maintain required paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and deliver documentation when routes are complete.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold either a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license depending on state, appropriate for the vehicle’s weight.
  • •Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state DOT regulations and pass a DOT physical.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle.
  • •Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds and complete prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab.
