Key Responsibilities

•Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and following Tyson policies and procedures.
•Perform maintenance tasks including welding, cutting, minor electrical repair, and replacing components such as motor shafts, couplings, pumps, and augers.
•Remove and replace water and steam pipes, lines, and systems as part of maintenance duties.
•May monitor boiler systems and perform chemical testing on boilers.
•Perform assigned duties as directed by the supervisor, including reading drawings/schematics when required.

Key Requirements

•Basic mechanical or maintenance skills with knowledge of welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics, and plumbing.
•Must be able to use basic hand tools and various electrical and pneumatic power tools and equipment.
•Ability to read and understand assignments; communicate orally and in writing; hear/respond to a two-way radio.
•Must be certified to operate various pieces of gas/hydraulic motors/lifts.
•At least 6 months of mechanical/maintenance skills in the last 24 months (preferably industrial maintenance) and 6 months continuous employment with one employer in the last 24 months.
