Job Summary

Design and develop backend services and business systems for TikTok Shop’s Global E-Commerce, with a focus on European business expansion. Own end-to-end business logic abstraction and system architecture for merchant/product/service provider modules, and strengthen stability through multi–data center scheduling, governance, loss prevention, and disaster recovery strategies. Analyze business scenarios and data to remove capacity bottlenecks, and improve software capabilities with testing and validation.

Key Responsibilities

•Conduct technical research and development for B-side business systems for Global E-Commerce European business, including merchant, product, and service provider growth.
•Own a functional module and deliver business logic abstraction and system architecture aligned with business characteristics and best practices.
•Build system stability mechanisms including global multi–data center scheduling, stability governance, loss prevention/control, and disaster recovery downgrade.
•Use business scenarios and data to understand needs and continuously remove capacity bottlenecks to protect user experience.
•Update and enhance software capabilities and develop and direct software testing and validation procedures.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Programming & System Analysis, Science (Computer Studies), or a related discipline.
•Experience developing highly scalable backend services and systems using at least one of Java, Golang, Python, or C++.
•Ability to perform server-level system design and performance optimization in distributed, high-traffic scenarios.
•Strong teamwork and communication skills.
•Understanding of e-commerce business and experience with e-commerce/global e-commerce systems (preferred).
