Job Summary

Lead the Technical Shop Floor Support (TSFS) department for the A220 Final Assembly Line, embedded within Autonomous Production Teams (APTs). Manage 10–30 manufacturing engineers to ensure engineering deliverables meet time, cost, and quality targets, serve as the final technical escalation point, and oversee tooling and part availability. Drive Value Stream Management (VSM) optimization, improve KPI performance, and partner cross-functionally to eradicate non-conformities and standardize methods.

Key Responsibilities

•Direct TSFS day-to-day operations to deliver engineering outcomes aligned to strict FAL milestones, time, cost, and quality standards.
•Strategically lead 10–30 manufacturing engineers embedded within APTs, ensuring an inclusive, high-performing shop floor support team.
•Serve as final technical escalation point for production teams to resolve urgent, complex issues and guide production execution.
•Oversee replacement parts, jigs, and production tool availability to sustain uninterrupted line operations.
•Drive VSM optimization and collaborate with Quality on recurrent non-conformities, while defining and tracking departmental KPIs and reporting variations with Manufacturing Engineering back office.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent education and experience).
•6+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
•Manage, engage, and motivate a team of manufacturing engineers using established HR processes and development tools.
•Direct day-to-day TSFS operations to ensure engineering deliverables meet time, cost, and quality standards and resolve FAL work orders and concessions.
•Knowledge of manufacturing engineering methods/tools, supply chain management, quality system management, and non-conformities/design query notes.
