Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform analysis across all levels of the total system product from concept through disposal, including modeling, testing, operation, and maintenance.
  • •Lead technical planning, system integration, verification/validation, and cost/risk and supportability/effectiveness analyses for total systems.
  • •Manage configuration and perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition to convert customer requirements into hardware/software specifications.
  • •Ensure logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions with technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • •Decompose system-level requirements into subsystem/piece-part requirements and generate verification criteria and plans for requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field with 5 years’ progressive Systems Engineering experience; or master’s degree with 3 years’ experience.
  • •3+ years designing and specifying deterministic network architectures (Ethernet-based IPv4/IPv6, TSN, VLANs, QoS, multicast) and deterministic legacy protocols (ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, CAN, ARINC 629).
  • •3+ years integrating and testing digital computing systems using network testing, simulation, and automated scripting (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • •3+ years applying safety-critical development standards including DO-178C, DO-254, DO-297, AC20-193, or ARP4754B.
  • •3+ years troubleshooting digital computing systems and complex avionics networking systems.
