Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, brake, cooling, starter/alternator, engine electronics, diesel steering, air conditioning, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and road test defective equipment to identify malfunctions and generate/compare repair alternatives using sound judgment.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on a company-issued service truck, including reconciliation, and maintain the vehicle with daily safety checks/pre- and post-trip inspections.
  • •Accurately complete DOT forms and other documentation on Repair Orders, uploading required photos using a company-issued iOS device and the TRAIT application while managing daily schedules and priorities independently.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED with 3+ years of experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination, such as a relevant certification/degree and 5+ years experience).
  • •At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •OEM training and certifications are preferred; complete all required company training.
  • •Ability to pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical; must hold a valid DOT medical card (or obtain a DOT physical if needed) and be 21+ with a valid driver’s license.
