Key Responsibilities

  • •Support the VP Legal by leading matters independently and serving as the escalation point for legal issues within the Development Business Unit.
  • •Manage legal matters for DBU projects and transactions as the primary legal point of contact, using delegated authority to negotiate and manage transactions.
  • •Structure, negotiate, and execute complex real-estate and development transactions from term sheet, including joint ventures and related agreements.
  • •Advise senior internal stakeholders with timely, pragmatic guidance that balances risk management with business objectives.
  • •Identify, assess, and manage legal and regulatory risks, draft/review complex contracts, and coordinate dispute avoidance and litigation/arbitration when needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Law.
  • •Minimum 10 years post-qualification experience in a reputed law firm and/or real estate development company focused on complex real-estate and development transactions in the UAE.
  • •Experience structuring, negotiating, and closing transactions including joint ventures, development agreements, and investments, with exposure to cross-border matters.
  • •Proven ability to draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts and legal documentation.
  • •Bilingual fluency in Arabic and English; LLM or MBA is a plus.
