Key Responsibilities

  • •Design primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging for existing/new products and accessories.
  • •Develop and improve packaging systems to meet quality, function, cost, and merchandising requirements using CAD software.
  • •Solicit supplier quotes and collaborate with purchasing, production, Product Management, and Sourcing to determine cost and feasibility.
  • •Lead sustainability-focused packaging alternatives to reduce single-use plastics and other environmentally related packaging; develop KPIs for progress.
  • •Manage Engineering Change Requests/Notices, drive packaging cost reduction, coordinate packaging testing, and maintain packaging procedures and labeling standards.

Key Requirements

  • •Engineering graduate (preferred Mechanical or Packaging Engineering).
  • •7 to 10 years designing and developing packaging for industrial products and retail displays (e.g., carton boxes/inserts and wooden pallets; clamshell and blister packaging).
  • •Hands-on experience with packaging CAD tools, preferably ArtiosCAD (and/or PICADOR).
  • •Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, standards, and specifications.
  • •Knowledge of sustainable packaging regulations/best practices and packaging test standards; effective oral and written communication.
