Key Responsibilities

•Drive and manage internal AI governance programs (e.g., ISO 42001) and evaluate new frameworks for Vanta to adopt.
•Lead cross-functional Hardening Enterprise AI Team to research, implement, and monitor scalable AI guardrails balancing risk, compliance, and productivity.
•Ensure AI governance, risk management, and compliance are integrated into programs, projects, and SDLCs across the organization.
•Promote sustainable AI usage by championing early adoption, sharing best practices, and fostering responsible AI across the company.
•Scale GRC programs through automation and deterministic AI, and evangelize GRC engineering practices via thought leadership.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 178,000 - 209,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Experience applying AI governance, risk, and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 42001, EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, UK AI Safety Framework) across internal AI adoption and customer-facing products.
•Strong technical foundation with code and web APIs, especially TypeScript, Go, and/or Python, and experience with cloud-native web app security practices (AWS, containers, serverless).
•Experience with compliance programs (SOC 2, ISO 27001/17/18, ISO 27701, GDPR) and threat-informed GRC approaches.
•Ability to partner cross-functionally with GRC Engineering, Corporate Engineering, Product Engineering, and Security Engineering to bake governance and risk into SDLCs and programs.
•Excellent ability to communicate complex governance concepts, share best practices, and influence stakeholders across engineering and product teams.
