Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and manage the team processing forwarding finance transactions in CargoWise to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely processing.
  • •Oversee invoice validation, payment processing, receipt creation, and receipt application in Oracle Fusion/CargoWise.
  • •Ensure timely supplier SOA reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
  • •Monitor service delivery against SLAs, KPIs, and quality standards, and review shipment/customer/GP profitability reports to provide business insights.
  • •Ensure compliance with financial controls, company policies, and audit requirements; drive resolution of operational issues and process exceptions while managing stakeholder escalations.

Key Requirements

  • •Manage freight forwarding finance and deliver financial reporting and compliance in a freight forwarding finance context.
  • •8–12 years management experience in a financial reporting role, ideally as a (semi-)qualified Chartered Accountant.
  • •12+ years finance experience with at least 3 years in a managerial role in finance operations, preferably in a shared service centre or freight forwarding industry.
  • •Extensive knowledge of financial reporting standards, costing, revenue recognition, audit procedures, and financial planning.
  • •Proficiency with MS Office applications and working knowledge of CargoWise for freight forwarding finance operations.
