Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop HV project functional requirements (up to and including 20kV) into compliant, cost-effective engineering solutions.
  • •Project manage the development and delivery of small/medium HV projects (cable, plant, and civil) to time, cost, safety, and quality.
  • •Interface with customers and internal/external resources to develop and deliver HV projects.
  • •Act as CDM Designer and/or Principal Designer for developed HV projects.
  • •Coordinate external service providers and administer commercial, and communicate effectively with internal engineering and industrial resources.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • •Experience working on HV substation projects.
  • •Understanding of electrical distribution plant operations, controls, and associated systems including switchgear, protection, power transformers, and underground power cables.
  • •Good understanding of H&S and CDM requirements for projects, including acting as Designer and/or Principal Designer under CDM regulations.
  • •Ability to interpret technical documentation relating to the design of electrical substations.
