Job Summary

Lead and deliver high-voltage substation projects in the UK from design through energisation, coordinating internal teams, external providers, and customers. Manage HV/EHV scope (33kV-400kV), ensure safety, quality, and costs, and fulfill CDM Designer/Principal Designer responsibilities while navigating multi-site delivery across Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool regions.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop HV projects (up to and including 20kV) initial functional requirement into compliant cost-effective engineering solutions.
•Project manage the development and delivery of small/medium HV projects (cable, plant and civil) to time, cost, safety and quality.
•Interface with customers as well as internal and external resources to develop and deliver HV projects.
•Undertake the role of CDM Designer and/or Principal Designer for developed HV projects.
•Coordinate external service providers and administer commercial.

Key Requirements

•Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering, with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
•Experience working on HV substation projects.
•Understanding of electrical distribution plant items operations, controls and associated systems such as switchgear, protection, transformers and underground power cables.
•Good understanding of the H&S and CDM requirements for projects.
•Ability to travel as per project needs.
