Develop and release structural and payload design solutions to extend the life of legacy aircraft parts. Review supplier design changes for compliance with Boeing specification control drawings, installation requirements, CFR regulations, and certification criteria. Coordinate with engineering teams to meet technical, schedule, and compliance goals, take ownership of projects with minimal supervision, and support supplier interactions while improving design effectiveness, quality, and efficiency using tools such as CATIA V5 and Enovia.

•Review supplier-proposed type design changes for compliance with Boeing specification control drawings, installation requirements, CFR regulations, and certification criteria.
•Coordinate with engineering groups to meet technical, schedule, and compliance requirements.
•Interpret and apply industry and company standards and processes.
•Execute design releases per Boeing policy and take full ownership of assigned projects to completion with minimal supervision.
•Represent the team with suppliers, collaborate with team manager and technical leads, and guide less experienced engineers.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering focused on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical, or Material Sciences.
•5+ years designing structural or interior payload systems.
•3+ years of experience in a military or commercial aircraft environment.
•3+ years performing 2D & 3D design with knowledge of GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing).
•3+ years experience with design release processes, policies, and procedures, including tooling issues and supplier-driven changes.
