Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and industrialise seamless yarns, knit constructions, and material platforms across multiple product categories.
  • •Translate consumer performance needs (e.g., sculpting, support, compression, breathability, sweat management, comfort) into yarn and knit solutions.
  • •Support fibre selection and specification, elastane construction, covering methods, feeder allocation, yarn pathing, and machine set-up decisions to meet performance outcomes.
  • •Collaborate with internal teams and external yarn/supplier and manufacturing partners to create proprietary, commercially scalable seamless material solutions.
  • •Lead testing and validation by interpreting laboratory and wear-trial data, converting findings into technical action plans, and maintaining technical documentation and material libraries.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 3 years’ experience in material development, yarn development, seamless development, performance fabric development, or related technical product development.
  • •Strong technical knowledge of seamless materials, fibres, yarns, and knit constructions, including seamless circular knitting (preferably Santoni).
  • •Knowledge of yarn covering methods, feeder allocation, plating, yarn pathing, and yarn tension principles for seamless circular knitting.
  • •Ability to assess how fibre composition, yarn selection, stitch architecture, elastane construction, and machine settings impact fit, compression, recovery, opacity, durability, and production consistency.
  • •Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PLM (or similar product lifecycle management systems), with strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
