Job Summary

Lead privacy, responsible AI, and technology law efforts across the Americas, overseeing implementation of global privacy and AI programs across the United States, Canada, and Latin America & the Caribbean. Serve as a trusted advisor on AI/IT/privacy/data law, supervise local privacy and responsible AI representatives, and drive “compliance by design” for digital products. Partner with Legal, IT, Information Security, Procurement, and Ethics/Compliance to manage legal risk, assessments, regulator engagement, and key negotiations.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as primary point of contact and trusted advisor on AI, IT, privacy, and data law matters across the Americas.
•Supervise local Privacy & Responsible AI representatives to ensure cohesive program delivery across jurisdictions.
•Implement global privacy and AI policies and procedures, adapting them to applicable U.S., Canadian, and Latin American & Caribbean laws.
•Advise on “compliance by design” by embedding privacy, AI, and data protection requirements into digital products and services.
•Conduct privacy impact assessments and AI risk assessments, and support incident response and regulator engagement including notifications and reportability assessments.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: 175,800 - 257,900

Key Requirements

•Active member of a U.S. and a Canadian bar (Latin American bar membership is an asset).
•At least 10 years of experience practicing law focused on commercial IT and privacy across the Americas.
•Direct experience with key regional privacy regimes including CCPA (U.S.), PIPEDA and Law 25 (Canada), plus laws like Brazil’s LGPD.
•Advised multinational organizations on global AI, IT, privacy, and data protection matters at executive level.
•Hold a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US or CIPP/C) designation.
