Job Summary

Serve as a lead commercial lawyer for Visa’s North America Commercial & Money Movement Solutions business, advising on the drafting, review, and negotiation of complex customer, partner, vendor, and strategic agreements. Partner with sales, product, compliance, privacy, and regional legal teams to structure transactions, resolve contractual issues, and manage legal and regulatory risk. Build contracting playbooks and templates, provide day-to-day counseling, and support regulatory and cross-border matters.

•Provide practical, risk-based legal advice on drafting, review, negotiation, and interpretation of commercial agreements for North America CMS.
•Draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements, focusing on clear, scalable, and commercially workable contract language.
•Partner with cross-functional teams (sales, product, compliance, privacy, regional legal) to structure transactions and resolve contractual issues.
•Advise on key commercial contract provisions, including scope, liability allocation, indemnities, data use, and IP.
•Develop and maintain contracting templates, playbooks, guidance materials, and provide day-to-day counseling and training to business teams.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•5+ years of relevant experience.
•Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.

•Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements (e.g., framework agreements, SOWs, amendments).
•Knowledge of payments or financial services (including applicable regulation) and experience in a regulated business.
