Key Responsibilities

•Define platform vision, roadmap, principles, and standards for Tier-1 data services, and establish federated governance across entitlement, privacy, retention, lineage, catalog, quality, integrity, and usage monitoring.
•Architect and evolve a scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-optimized GCP data platform, including building a control plane and unified self-service portal (iHUB) with multi-tenant patterns and trusted source curation.
•Define operational KPIs and implement continuous improvement, observability, and reliability practices (metrics, tracing, anomaly detection, alerting) with AI-assisted data issue identification/repair where appropriate.
•Own and mature CI/CD standards for data platform services and pipelines (GitLab CI/Jenkins), including automated testing, security scanning, gated releases, and infrastructure-as-code with Terraform and GitOps-style operating practices.
•Establish SRE-aligned practices (SLO/SLI, error budgets, incident/problem management, root-cause analysis) and strengthen operational controls such as release governance, change management readiness, DR testing, runbooks, and on-call support patterns.

Key Requirements

•15+ years of data/platform engineering experience, including 5+ years leading cloud data programs.
•Proven large-scale GCP data architecture delivery experience.
•Strong skills in SQL, Python, Terraform, and streaming, with governance implementation experience.
•Track record building self-service and multi-tenant data platforms with trusted source curation.
•Practical experience delivering AI-enabled data platforms on cloud with governed integration of GenAI/ML workloads in regulated environments.
