Plan, organize, and direct the Automation Department to improve machine efficiency, maintain equipment, standardize practices, and control costs. Own daily operations priorities, budgets, and preventive maintenance compliance, and lead capital projects that improve safety, reduce costs, and raise plant efficiency. Serve as a technical leader for automation systems, mentor team members, analyze downtime and efficiency, and coordinate cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

•Set priorities and direct day-to-day Automation Department activities, driving continuous improvement and capital investment strategies.
•Develop and manage Automation Department expense and capital budgets.
•Maintain automation equipment in safe operating condition; evaluate existing and new equipment and OEM vendor qualifications.
•Review and advise on preventive maintenance programs; support planning, project management, and resource allocation for compliance.
•Develop, communicate, budget, and implement capital projects to improve safety, reduce costs, improve operating efficiency, and enhance plant systems.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
•5+ years of maintenance supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
•Advanced knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and PC/PLC-based control systems.
•Proven ability to lead, motivate, and direct employees.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong organizational ability to manage multiple tasks.
