Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the data platform end to end, including ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and reliability.
  • •Develop AI agents that write, build, and test new integrations end to end.
  • •Optimize ingestion pipelines for low-latency data availability and consistent performance during peak seasonal surges.
  • •Build and maintain the data transformation layer for clean, predictable data Hazel can reliably use.

Key Requirements

  • •4+ years building production data infrastructure with real ownership of a warehouse depended on by others.
  • •Deep understanding of dbt and SQL, including opinions on grain, incrementality, and data modeling.
  • •Strong Python experience for building ingestion code (not a UI).
  • •Experience owning an orchestrator in production such as Dagster, Airflow, Temporal, or Prefect.
  • •AI-native approach using coding agents to deliver outcomes, and clear communication on where they help or hurt.
