Job Summary

Provide technical leadership and subject-matter expertise for vertical transportation and mechanical systems across multi-site and multi-phase projects. Oversee due diligence, design, development, construction, testing, and inspections for building and infrastructure mechanical systems, including automatic temperature control, air distribution, hydronic, and plumbing. Lead technical reports, client and stakeholder coordination, and delivery of mechanical engineering projects from inception through completion, while mentoring staff and ensuring QA/QC quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide oversight by collecting, compiling, and analyzing site and project data (e.g., drawings, schematics, surveys) for design and construction.
•Apply vertical transportation engineering techniques across concept through operations, including research, inspections, and ensuring conformance with standards and permits.
•Develop and coordinate construction and installation plans, specifications, cost estimates, safety/phasing plans, and infrastructure layout updates.
•Lead mechanical engineering projects, including budgeting, tracking hours/expenses, supervising subcontractors and employees, and ensuring QA/QC quality.
•Provide technical assistance and engineering reviews related to mechanical designs and permit applications, producing reports and presentations for stakeholders.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
•10+ years of post-education engineering experience, including prior Vertical Transportation design experience.
•Engineer license required (multi-state preferred).
•Proficiency in mechanical/vertical transportation engineering principles, design/build practices, and construction project application.
•Experience with planning and conducting inspections and investigations, including applying relevant regulations, codes, and compliance practices.
