Key Responsibilities

  • •Model factory operations by generating process flows, value stream maps, Pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings to visualize production processes and KPIs.
  • •Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints to drive operational improvements.
  • •Apply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce undesirable effects and improve efficiency, cost, quality, and on-time delivery.
  • •Draft infrastructure improvement/expansion proposals and plan integration of new products, technologies, and equipment to influence factory roadmaps and investment strategies.
  • •Execute cross-functional projects to address obsolescence, improve factory performance, and support factory safety and work cell ergonomics.

Key Requirements

  • •Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in STEM and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an applicable STEM Master’s degree.
  • •Industrial Engineering degree.
  • •Experience applying industrial engineering tools and methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Capacity Modeling, Facility Design, or Process Optimization.
  • •The ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) clearance.
  • •Security clearance requirements: ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
