Key Responsibilities

  • •Design the complete protection schemes for substations including busbars, lines, power transformers, reactors and medium-voltage cells.
  • •Prepare technical relay requirements and protection cabinets specifications.
  • •Develop protection coordination studies and system protection philosophies in coordination with other electrical studies.
  • •Obtain approvals for protection schemes from the transmission system operator.
  • •Evaluate technical proposals from relay and protection cabinet vendors and support FAT/commissioning activities.

Key Requirements

  • •15+ years of professional experience with at least 10 years in designing protection systems for high-voltage substations (220 kV/500 kV).
  • •Experience protecting equipment in the Argentine TSO transmission system.
  • •Knowledge of numerical protective relays from ABB, Siemens, GE, SEL or similar.
  • •Strong knowledge of Argentine TSO protection standards and coordination of transformer and reactor protections.
  • •Experience in FAT and commissioning of protection cabinets; willingness to work on-site in Buenos Aires area.
