Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws and observe all traffic and safety regulations.
  • •Transport loads safely and on schedule over required routes.
  • •Maneuver trucks and trailers into loading and unloading areas, assisting with loading and unloading as needed.
  • •Maintain and deliver required shipping paperwork (invoices, bills of lading, and other documentation).
  • •Perform routine service checks (oil, water, gasoline, air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license, appropriate for the weight of the vehicle to be operated.
  • •Pass required background and drug testing under federal and/or state transportation regulations.
  • •Pass a DOT physical (trucks driven are over 10k lbs).
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate the company vehicle.
  • •Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds and perform prolonged periods of sitting in a trailer cab.
