Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and embed cost governance, financial systems, and related processes for underground operations.
  • •Lead month-end, forecast, and annual planning cycles, including accurate cost reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • •Lead Rio Tinto cost leadership best practices at underground and provide financial insights for operational and strategic projects.
  • •Act as a trusted finance partner by participating in Underground team meetings and workshops.
  • •Support ad hoc analysis and business cases within defined authority limits, presenting complex financial/operational data to stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, plus 8 years of related work experience in the mining industry and/or mining operations.
  • •8 years of experience managing multiple concurrent projects, including scheduling, task prioritization, and meeting project deadlines.
  • •8 years of experience using Microsoft Office, SAP, and Power BI.
  • •5 years of experience in financial analysis and modeling for projects and/or operations in mining, oil and gas, or energy industries.
  • •Ability to analyze business and value chain data, synthesize technical findings, and present recommendations to stakeholders.
