Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver electrical design work for energy storage, solar, and grid connection projects, including feasibility, FEED, detailed design, and design assurance.
  • •Work on large projects and frameworks with renewable energy generation developers, mainly in the UK and Ireland.
  • •Undertake FEED and planning design for energy storage systems, including associated grid connections, control, and metering.
  • •Design BESS balance of plant (BOP) systems and develop grid connection solutions for energy storage and renewables (11kV–400kV).
  • •Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and support bidding, project management, and quality management.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • •Suitable experience working in a FEED designer, detailed design, or owner’s engineer role.
  • •Strong understanding of renewable generation and energy storage technology, including battery storage and different chemistries.
  • •Experience designing HV grid connections and metering/control requirements for battery storage installations (including collocated BESS).
  • •Knowledge of grid connection requirements for renewable generation and energy storage, including G99, G100, and grid code requirements for transmission-connected assets.
