Job Summary

Supervise aircraft technicians within a Boeing Defence UK MRO organization, ensuring maintenance is delivered under approved processes and meets contractual and regulatory compliance. Oversee work recording, aircraft paperwork standards, and schedule delivery while troubleshooting complex aircraft systems and distributing technical work. Provide leadership, mentoring, and risk escalation/“stop work” when needed, with expectations around obtaining supervisory authorisations and progressing to second signature within the first three months.

Key Responsibilities

•Deliver aircraft maintenance under Boeing’s MAA MRP Part 145 approval or the MOD customer’s approval.
•Supervise technicians and provide leadership, planning, sequencing, distribution, and control of maintenance work for a small group.
•Perform routine troubleshooting of complex aircraft systems (pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical/electronic) and ensure repairs follow authorised maintenance documents.
•Ensure standards/certification of all associated aircraft paperwork is completed IAW company procedures and maintain accurate, timely work recording.
•Mitigate immediate risks (including “stop work”), escalate emerging risks/issues, and provide advice and mentoring as appropriate.

•Recognised relevant trade apprenticeship or equivalent trade experience.

•Proficient computer skills, including use of the Microsoft Office suite.
•Ability to obtain company supervisory authorisations on the aircraft type being worked on, including independent inspections within the scope of authorisation.
