Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive technical direction for maritime autonomy capabilities across multiple programs, architectures, and near-term integrations.
  • •Develop automation capabilities for USVs, UUVs, and cooperating UAVs, including motion planning, safety constraints, and cooperative behavior.
  • •Create high-performance software modules with clear interfaces and rigorous testing for integration and deployment readiness.
  • •Collaborate cross-functionally with perception, planning, simulation, hardware, and operational test teams to integrate autonomy on real platforms.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of related experience (with a Bachelor’s), or 9 years with a Master’s, or 7 years with a PhD (or equivalent experience).
  • •Proficiency in C++ and Python, with familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • •Significant background in robotics technologies for motion planning, behavior modeling, decision-making, or autonomous system design.
  • •Experience with unmanned system technologies and accompanying algorithms, ideally in the space domain.
  • •Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
