Key Responsibilities

  • •Interview applicants, obtain references, and recommend placement in a defined occupation.
  • •Document security clearance actions in automated databases and obtain information required to continue clearance actions.
  • •Conduct clearance processing through direct contact by phone or e-mail with applicants/incumbents and security community members.
  • •Take action on files that may impact an individual’s eligibility or continued eligibility for access authorization.
  • •Retrieve files from vault storage, screen paperwork/communications to determine required actions, and forward information to the appropriate employee/location.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent.
  • •US Citizenship is required and the candidate must be able to pass and obtain a DOE Q Level clearance.
  • •3+ years of typing and word processing skills, plus sufficient data entry skills.
  • •Effective reading comprehension and detail recognition; ability to recognize designated priorities.
  • •Ability to work with an office filing system and screen/identify information needed for clearance action forwarding.
