Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead early-stage design reviews and DFM optimization to ensure manufacturability, cost-efficiency, and quality for complex plastic components.
  • •Own plastics process management (CPM) and end-to-end process planning, including developing and approving flow charts, PFMEA, and SOPs.
  • •Manage production industrialization activities including production line setup, mold validation, equipment qualification, and golden sample approval for ramp-up and duplication.
  • •Execute failure analysis and risk assessments to identify root causes and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • •Lead PPAP/PSW sign-off and oversee EVT/DVT builds and MP ramp-up, including documentations and performance metrics such as FAI, Cpk, UPH, and FPY; scale mold and production duplication across lines, sites, and vendors.

Key Requirements

  • •BS or higher in Engineering or Science with strong plastics background.
  • •7+ years of NPI engineering experience, including 5+ years in plastic injection molding and resin materials.
  • •Deep expertise in Design for Manufacturing (DFM/DFA) and DFM optimization for complex plastic components.
  • •Experience with production line setup, mold qualification, and process development including flow charts, PFMEA, and SOP.
  • •Hands-on NPI milestone experience (EVT/DVT/MP) plus quality tools such as PPAP, FAI, Cpk, SPC, and 8D.
