Job Summary

Install and terminate low-voltage audiovisual cabling and equipment for AVI-SPL customer projects, including rack fabrication, wiring, and metal/equipment layout. Lead and direct installation crews on smaller projects while coordinating and reporting progress to the Project Manager. Interpret schematics/blueprints, use hand and power tools safely, test point-to-point cabling, manage jobsite tools and equipment, and coordinate with other trades and the customer on-site changes.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform installation tasks for contracted AV projects, including cable pulls, cable terminations, system equipment and components work, and rack fabrication/wiring.
•Lead and direct installation crews on less complex projects by coordinating and reporting progress to the Project Manager.
•Read and interpret project system schematics and architectural/construction blueprints, and use hand/power tools for AV system installation tasks.
•Test point-to-point cabling and verify functionality of systems; diagnose and resolve technical issues with audiovisual equipment and systems.
•Manage jobsite equipment and tools, communicate daily status and act as customer liaison, coordinating on-site change requests and with other trades.

Key Requirements

•2–4 years of audiovisual installation experience and the ability to install, terminate, and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling.
•Intermediate knowledge of audio-visual systems and their components (e.g., projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, video conferencing, digital signage, control systems).
•Experience with network infrastructure as it integrates with audiovisual systems (e.g., IP-based systems, streaming, cloud-based services).
•Ability to lead site teams on small projects and use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
•High school diploma or equivalent, plus a valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle record.
