Key Responsibilities

  • •Regularly inspect facility operations to ensure safe job practices, proper PPE use, and machine/process guards are in place and operational.
  • •Investigate and facilitate investigations of accidents and near-misses, identify trends/causes, and ensure corrective measures are implemented.
  • •Develop and support safety programs and incentives in collaboration with management, including conducting new-hire safety training.
  • •Provide training on safe and appropriate operation of machinery and equipment, and chair the Safety Committee.
  • •Maintain OSHA 300 logs and other required reports, first aid/CPR training readiness, and coordinate required fire inspections and forklift training.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum high school graduate.
  • •0 to 2 years of experience in safety or woodworking operations.
  • •Working knowledge of computer/business software, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • •Preferred experience in First Aid and CPR and working knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations.
  • •Bi-lingual (preferred).
