Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with Data Science to challenge and stress-test credit risk modelling assumptions for SME customers, including scenario and sensitivity testing.
  • •Develop forward-looking views of expected loss, repayment failures, delinquency transitions, and write-offs, and create feedback loops into product/risk decisions.
  • •Leverage market insights and publicly available SME finance data to validate modelling and decisions.
  • •Own the credit analytics data strategy, defining roadmaps for datasets, dashboards, and tools, ensuring consistent definitions, documentation, and data quality.
  • •Lead and develop a high-performing team of analysts through coaching, prioritisation, raising analytical quality, and hiring as the team grows.

Key Requirements

  • •6+ years of experience in data analytics with significant credit-risk related experience across economics/finance/risk/fraud/portfolio management or investing modelling.
  • •Strong understanding of the credit ecosystem, including risk assessment and the economics of different credit products.
  • •SQL experience working with large datasets and building data pipelines.
  • •A structured, pragmatic approach to early-stage (0→1) work, defining measurement and driving progress with incomplete information.
  • •Excellent communication and stakeholder management across disciplines to influence and protect analytical focus.
