Job Summary

Support TikTok’s Global Content & Partnerships Legal team by leading complex commercial matters across the US, including technology transactions, strategic agreements, and media/entertainment content licensing. Provide practical legal advice to business teams and senior leadership while balancing commercial objectives with legal, regulatory, and reputational risk. Partner cross-functionally on product launches and partnerships, and improve legal operations through scalable templates, playbooks, workflows, training, and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead legal support for complex commercial matters across the US and support regional/global initiatives as needed.
•Advise on and negotiate technology transactions and strategic commercial agreements with US partners.
•Advise on and negotiate content licensing arrangements in media and entertainment, including production, distribution, and related rights.
•Provide clear, practical legal advice to business teams and senior leadership, balancing commercial, legal, regulatory, and reputational risk.
•Drive operational excellence by building templates, playbooks, workflows, training, scalable legal support processes, and mentor more junior team members where appropriate.

Key Requirements

•Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and active membership in at least one US state bar.
•Extensive experience in private practice and/or in-house, including drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
•Experience with technology transactions (SaaS, PaaS, IT outsourcing), strategic product partnerships, content licensing, media/entertainment transactions, or distribution arrangements.
•Ability to independently manage high-value, high-visibility transactions end to end.
•Excellent communication skills to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal audiences and deliver strong outcomes.
