Key Responsibilities

  • •Rebuild assurance as engineering by instrumenting controls to report their own state, expressing policy as code, and validating continuously against production to detect control drift.
  • •Own certification and internal/external audit programs end-to-end, including ISO 27001:2022, ISO 27701:2019, and SOC 2 Type II scope, readiness, fieldwork, sampling requests, and remediation.
  • •Build AI assurance from scratch by defining and instrumenting controls for model/agent behavior, data handling, and AI-assisted development.
  • •Own third-party risk assurance by deciding what to accept and explaining why for AI-labeled vendor risk.
  • •Represent Sysdig externally with customers and publish/speak on assurance work, while enabling sales and account teams to answer most security questions without being in the room.

Key Requirements

  • •Have run a certification and audit program end-to-end for a cloud or SaaS company, owning outcomes rather than only coordinating.
  • •Have shipped code or automation supporting a control objective, including Python, Go, Terraform, CI pipelines, or an API integrated into a compliance platform.
  • •Have genuine depth in at least two of SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, or ISO 42001, with working knowledge of the rest.
  • •Be able to demonstrate compliance with operational evidence to enterprise security teams and auditors, not just policy documents.
  • •Have a cloud-native technical foundation (Kubernetes, containers, and at least one major cloud) and experience with agentic tooling.
