Key Responsibilities

  • •Troubleshoot moderately complex storage issues including LUN accessibility, pathing/multipathing, latency alerts, and storage pool warnings.
  • •Perform provisioning and routine tasks under SOP such as LUN creation/mapping, NAS share creation, and quota management.
  • •Investigate backup failures at a deeper level including client configuration issues, network connectivity errors, media server issues, and storage target unavailability.
  • •Perform restores of files/folders/databases after validation and monitor backup execution through log analysis.
  • •Monitor and manage tape libraries, media pools, retention schedules, and support patching/firmware upgrades with pre-checks and post-checks.

Key Requirements

  • •1–3 years’ experience in storage/backup operations.
  • •Solid understanding of SAN zoning, LUN masking, and iSCSI/FC connectivity.
  • •Knowledge of snapshot management and replication basics.
  • •Hands-on experience with backup/storage tools such as NetBackup, Commvault, Veeam, DataDomain, EMC, and NetApp.
  • •Basic scripting familiarity (PowerShell/Bash optional but beneficial).
