Job Summary

Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of mass affluent clients, delivering personalized service while selling and providing ongoing support for retail banking, mortgage, investments, planning, and insurance solutions. Establish and update client financial profiles using personal financial planning concepts, partner with investment/asset allocation stakeholders, and meet growth, profitability, and retention goals through new business development, referrals, and sales process management.

Key Responsibilities

•Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of mass affluent clients, selling and delivering fee income and retail banking products and services.
•Establish and update understanding of client financial needs using personal financial planning analysis, and coordinate with financial advisors on investment accounts and asset allocation objectives.
•Monitor economic, legal, and market trends and serve as a personal financial planning/advisory resource for clients, attorneys, and CPAs.
•Meet revenue growth, profitability, and retention goals by developing new clients, expanding services, marketing products, managing sales activities and pipeline in the contact management system.
•Partner with Truist IRM product and service specialists and external centers of influence to provide an integrated, compliant experience and support client development.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in business, accounting, finance, banking, or equivalent financial services experience and training.
•Minimum of five years of financial services experience working with clients in banking, investments, and/or retail lending (or one year in a financial client relationship manager role).
•Advanced knowledge of personal financial planning/advisory, insurance, and investment management/asset allocation concepts for the mass affluent market.
•Active Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) and FINRA Series 6 or 7 (or 66 with 63/65 in lieu of 66), plus applicable insurance licenses (Life, Health, Variable), with timelines for obtaining/transferring.
•Strong interpersonal, sales, relationship management, and presentation skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
