Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive machines onto truck trailers and transport equipment and materials to and from job sites.
  • •Control paving machines to maintain constant asphalt or other material flow, adjusting settings based on material distribution and low spots.
  • •Set up forms and lay out guidelines for curbs, and cut/break pavement and drive guardrail posts as needed.
  • •Operate curbing and joint/expansion-joint placement tasks, including regulating screed temperatures and asphalt flow rates.
  • •Inspect, clean, maintain, and repair equipment, coordinate truck dumping, shovel blacktop, control traffic, and perform setup/teardown.
