Key Responsibilities

  • •Participate in Class I–Class III assessments and avoidance recommendations.
  • •Conduct and/or contribute to heritage/cultural resource investigations for client projects, ensuring NEPA/NHPA/NAGPRA compliance.
  • •Complete assigned survey and mitigation tasks including testing, data recovery, and monitoring.
  • •Conduct pedestrian surveys and support collection and preparation of digital data for reporting findings.
  • •Travel to project sites in Arizona and New Mexico for 10-day rotations, including potential remote location/camping.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, History, or related field (MS/MA preferred).
  • •5–7 years of professional experience researching, analyzing, and developing archaeological and historic preservation plans.
  • •Working knowledge of cultural resources and environmental regulations, including North American archaeology.
  • •Experience with NHPA, ARPA, and NAGPRA and relevant state laws.
  • •Ability to perform pedestrian survey and handle field conditions (carry up to 25 lbs., survey in hot/high-desert conditions, and travel for 10-day rotations).
