Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide leadership and governance for Business Services site operations, ensuring effective HSE performance and contractor management.
  • •Supervise an HSE team supporting enterprise services (aviation, collective transport, light vehicles, camps, catering, waste management, and vehicle maintenance).
  • •Develop and implement HSE strategies, plans, and programs aligned with Rio Tinto standards and SimFer’s Integrated Management System.
  • •Ensure HSE governance of multiple contractors, including critical risk management (CRM), operational controls, contractor assurance, and incident reporting/investigations.
  • •Monitor contractor HSE performance via inspections, audits, leadership interactions, verification activities, and performance evaluations; support continuous improvement and emergency preparedness.

Key Requirements

  • •University degree in Health & Safety, engineering, logistics or a related field with at least 10 years of HSE experience in mining, construction, logistics, or large infrastructure projects.
  • •Exemplary commitment to safety and people well-being, and the promotion of a psychologically safe culture.
  • •Lead, develop, and support high-performing multidisciplinary teams with authentic, inclusive, collaborative leadership.
  • •Effectively manage and supervise contractors and complex operational interfaces to deliver HSE compliance and operational excellence.
