Job Summary

The HSE Officer supports execution of safety practices by implementing the Project HSE plan, evaluating hazards, recommending controls, and investigating incidents to ensure a safe working environment. This role includes delivering trainings, maintaining risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with IMS policies across Algeria North projects.

Location: Algiers

Job Function: Solutions Engineering & Sales Engineering

Key Responsibilities

•Monitor the execution of HSE activities on a project to ensure HSE requirements are met as per the project HSE plan and HSEMS requirements.
•Assist in developing and implementing field location emergency response procedures and evacuation plans to ensure safe evacuation procedures.
•Provide trainings to workers on HSE-related subjects in incident prevention, first aid, and safety awareness programs.
•Identify hazards and unsafe work conditions daily, raise observation reports, and record corrective measures.
•Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE performance reports and conduct daily tool box talks to communicate safety measures.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 5 years of working experience in health, safety and environmental roles; 3 years relevant experience; 2 years GCC experience is a plus.
•Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering and NEBOSH diploma or related technical certificates.
•Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
•Experience in investigating accidents/incidents and determining root causes to prevent recurrence.
•Ability to develop and deliver HSE training programs and maintain safety documentation.
