Job Summary

Support WSP’s Environmental Management and Assessment Team with environmental design, assessment, and management across a wide portfolio of projects. Provide environmental advice to clients and engineering teams, manage EIA deliverables (screening, scoping, environmental management plans, Environmental Statements), oversee technical/commercial/risk/health & safety performance, and contribute to work winning through proposals and bid preparation. Mentor junior colleagues and help deliver improved habitats, cleaner air and water, lower carbon outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide environmental advice and support to clients, project managers, and colleagues.
•Manage delivery of EIA inputs into projects, including screening requests and scoping reports, environmental constraints studies, environmental management plans, and Environmental Statements.
•Manage projects and oversee performance across technical, quality, commercial, and health and safety areas.
•Build relationships with clients and identify opportunities to support resourcing, programming, strategy development, and project delivery.
•Secure new work through proposals and bid preparation, and contribute to business development opportunities.

Key Requirements

•A relevant environmental degree level qualification in EIA, or similar.
•Achieved or working towards Chartered Environmental Status and Full membership of IEMA, or similar professional-body qualification.
•Experience of EIA and EIA processes working with limited supervision in multi-disciplinary teams.
•Knowledge and experience of relevant environmental and planning legislation.
•Demonstrable post-qualified experience coordinating environmental assessments across a variety of projects.
